Lake Notes:  Lake Norman is the largest freshwater lake situated solely in North Carolina.  Over 520 miles of shoreline.  Max. depth of 130 ft, Avg. depth 33 ft.  Four counties border Lake Norman: Catawba, Iredell, Lincoln and Mecklenburg.  During the summer months on Lake Norman bass and stripers move to deeper water. As the water cools in the fall and on through the spring you'll find them closer to shore.
