Lake Notes:  Lake Hickory is a river channel type lake, with several major feeder creeks.  Night-fishing for bass and crappie can be excellent throughout the summer on Lake Hickory, especially around the deep ends of piers and boat docks in 10 to 15 feet of water. Over 115 miles of shoreline.
